Position Overview
Join a dynamic surgical team in a state-of-the-art facility as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN). This travel nurse contract in Atlanta offers exposure to a wide variety of surgical cases and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
- Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Atlanta healthcare)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45pm – 7:15am), 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Contract
- Unit: Surgery – Ground Floor – Operating Room
- Note: No local candidates within 50 miles
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative or surgical nurse)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for use in Georgia or compact RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
- Proven expertise in a variety of surgical cases: robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, gynecology
- Strong clinical skills, sterile technique, and perioperative documentation
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for diverse surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for robotic, neuro, ortho, plastics, and gyn cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Maintain strict sterile technique and adhere to surgical safety protocols
- Accurately document patient care, surgical counts, and perioperative notes
