Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 – $1,900 (competitive travel pay)
• Location: Flint, MI 48532 — Flint, Michigan (Genesee County)
• Setting: Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy (acute care, med-surg)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM — Night shift pharmacist
• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (Wednesday – Tuesday)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Contract Pharmacist

Pharmacist Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience (hospital or clinical pharmacist experience preferred)
• Active Michigan Pharmacist license required
• Controlled substance license/documentation required
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Verify, prepare, and dispense medications for hospitalized patients, including IV admixtures and unit-dose operations
• Provide clinical pharmacy services: medication reconciliation, drug interaction review, and evidence-based medication recommendations
• Educate patients and families on medication use, side effects, and discharge medication counseling
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams on drug selection, dosing, and monitoring
• Ensure medication safety, controlled substance management, and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Manage pharmacy inventory, controlled substances reporting, and maintain accurate documentation
• Provide vaccinations and other clinical services as needed
