Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift travel contract in Anderson, SC (29621). 13-week Med/Surgical travel nurse assignment offering competitive weekly pay, supportive community hospital environment, and opportunities to provide high-quality post-surgical patient care in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 – $1,840
- Location: Anderson, South Carolina (Anderson healthcare jobs; Zip: 29621)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Role: Travel Nurse – Med/Surg RN / Med-Surgical Registered Nurse
- Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: 6 South, Post Surgical Med/Surg; float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 16 hours
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (2 years preferred) — Med-Surgical clinical experience required
- Active Nursing License (state license required; pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to start)
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- Epic charting experience preferred (electronic medical record / EMR experience)
- Ability to float to up to 5 Med/Surg units and 4 Telemetry units as needed
- COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Locals accepted; first-time travel nurses welcome
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a post-surgical Med/Surg unit (med-surgical nursing, post-op care)
- Manage patient assignments with a 1:6 ratio, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes
- Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry (Tele) units as needed to support staffing and patient care
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform wound care, and complete clinical assessments
- Utilize Epic charting system for accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, and Social Services
- Participate in weekend rotations and maintain flexibility with scheduling
- Complete required pre-start online modules (average 2 hours) prior to orientation
