Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week outpatient GI oncology assignment in Columbus, OH 43221; EPIC experience, BLS, and 2+ years outpatient nursing preferred.
Outpatient RN Job Details
- Location: Columbus, OH 43221 (Columbus healthcare, Ohio nursing jobs)
- Role: Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) – GI Oncology / Infusion RN
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Setting: Outpatient GI Oncology Clinic (adult and geriatric patients)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 – $2,020 (competitive travel RN pay)
- Visits per Day: Approximately 125
- Documentation: EPIC electronic health record (EPIC experience preferred)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (compact license accepted or Ohio RN license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an outpatient clinic or infusion setting
- BLS certification required
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Experience with GI oncology, infusion therapy, or chemotherapy administration strongly preferred
- ONS or OCN oncology certification preferred
- Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with GI oncology diagnoses
- Perform clinical tasks including IV starts, specimen collection, blood glucose monitoring, and medication/infusion administration
- Respond to emergency situations including CPR and cardiac arrest response
- Conduct patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and accurately document care in EPIC
- Deliver patient education and support across the care continuum for oncology patients
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in telephone triage, follow-up calls, and care coordination as needed
- Adhere to clinic protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices
