- Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (Travel Sleep Tech position)
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital Sleep Center (Main)
- Contract Type: Travel – 13 weeks
- Start / End Date: April 19, 2026 – July 19, 2026
- Shift: Nights – 3x12-hour (18:30 – 07:00)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,260 – $1,350 (estimated)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Population: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Unit Size: 10 beds
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Sleep Technologist / Polysomnographic Technologist
- Valid BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Current certification: RPSGT, RST, or SDS
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting
- Proven experience performing polysomnography and related procedures in hospital or independent lab settings
- Strong working knowledge of sleep study equipment, including Alice 6 sleep systems
- Seasonal flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive sleep studies (polysomnography) across age groups and document results accurately
- Monitor and record physiologic data: EEG, ECG, oxygen saturation, respiratory events, and limb movements
- Apply and manage PAP therapy (CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP) and oxygen administration during studies
- Score and interpret sleep studies according to facility protocols and document findings in Epic
- Educate patients and families on procedures, PAP equipment, and at-home follow-up
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and equipment calibration standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and social services
- Complete orientation and required training modules prior to assignment start
