- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts per week — Night shift ER RN role
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,720 – $1,820
- Setting: Immediate Care Center (ICC) and Emergency Department (ED) — emergency nursing, urgent care
- Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics — oncology, hematology, sickle cell patients
- Unit Size: 14 beds
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license: compact license or Ohio RN license required at time of submission (Ohio nursing jobs)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) clinical experience (within the last 3 years)
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required — travel nurse candidates preferred
- EPIC charting experience required (electronic health records / EHR proficiency)
- Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Ability to float between Immediate Care Center (ICC) and Emergency Department (ED) as needed
- 2 professional references required (one reference must be a manager/director or formal leader)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
Responsibilities — Emergency Nursing & Clinical Duties
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency and urgent care for oncology, hematology, and sickle cell patients in both ICC and ED settings
- Triage, assess, and manage patients with sickle cell crisis, fever, abdominal pain, uncontrolled pain, anemia, nausea/vomiting, and dehydration
- Administer blood products, manage central lines, start and maintain IVs, and deliver emergency medications as required
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including APPs, physicians, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and social services
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and maintain compliance with clinical policies
- Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions; maintain patient safety and quality standards
- Float between ICC and ED based on patient volume and unit needs
