Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,430
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 — Rochester NY radiology jobs / New York travel radiology
• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 3:30pm – Midnight (Evenings), 5x8 hour shifts per week
• On Call: 2-3 call shifts per month; must be able to report within 30 minutes
• Holiday Coverage: As needed per unit requirements

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Completion of formal training from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical X-ray / Radiologic Technologist experience
• Recent OR experience at a Level 1 trauma center (preferred)
• Experience using C-arm / O-arm within the past 8 months (intraoperative imaging)
• Experience using PACS and electronic patient information systems (RIS/EHR)
• Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
• Patient-focused, compassionate, and a strong team player

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to imaging procedures
• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams (X-ray) and intraoperative imaging as ordered
• Operate radiology equipment (including C-arm/O-arm) to capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Position patients safely and appropriately; assist with lifting and moving patients with limited mobility
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and address questions to ensure patient comfort
• Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize patient exposure
• Monitor patient status and adapt imaging approaches for age-specific and trauma patients
• Ensure images are uploaded to PACS and maintain accurate patient documentation
• Promptly report equipment issues or malfunctions to management
