- Location: Scottsbluff, NE 69361 – Western Nebraska travel nursing job with access to outdoor adventures and local amenities
- Position: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract
- Start Date: April 9, 2026
- End Date: July 9, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM and/or 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM); must be able to work nights, days, weekends, and holidays as needed to fill open shifts
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (state of practice) – travel nurse candidates preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills in emergency medicine
- Comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients presenting with a broad range of acute conditions
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions following ACLS/PALS protocols
- Manage airway, perform EKG interpretation, medication administration, and wound care as needed
- Collaborate with emergency physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Serve as Charge Nurse during night shifts as needed and support unit flow in the ED
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols
- Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet department needs
