• Patient Population: Adult (psychiatric and substance abuse disorders)
• Patient Ratio: 12:1
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/20/2026 – End: 7/20/2026)
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Pinpoint
• Weekend Hours: As scheduled
• Call Requirements: None

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years psychiatric nursing experience (acute behavioral health preferred)
• Active RN license in Arizona (compact or state-specific per facility requirements)
• BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification required (facility does not accept CPI)
• Strong documentation and communication skills; experience with EHR (Pinpoint) a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team (physicians, utilization review, social work)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adults, including assessment, medication administration, and safety monitoring
• Deliver psychotherapy and counseling therapies as appropriate (group, individual, and family sessions) under facility protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, referral sources, and the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in treatment planning, goal setting, and progress documentation
• Collaborate with utilization review to manage patient length of stay and coordinate care transitions
• Develop thorough discharge plans to support continuity of care for patients and families
