Travel Nurse Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 - $2,200
- Location: Claremont, NH (03743) — New Hampshire travel nursing job
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department / ER
- Assignment Duration: 36 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 1/11/2027)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week guaranteed
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Position Type: Travel nurse, on-site emergency room nurse
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or a Compact RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience as an ER nurse (required)
- Previous travel nursing experience (minimum 3 months) preferred/required
- Experience working in rural or small facility settings (preferred/required for this role)
- Active American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (required)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification highly preferred
- Must have personal vehicle for commute; candidate must reside more than 50 miles from facility
- All requested time off (maximum 5 days) must be submitted with application
Emergency Department Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of medical emergencies, including trauma, burns, cardiac events, poisonings, and violence-related injuries
- Prioritize and manage patient care based on acuity and critical status in a fast-paced ER environment
- Work collaboratively with emergency physicians, paramedics, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality ED nursing care
- Stabilize patients for inpatient admission or arrange transfers to specialty centers when required
- Utilize specialized decontamination resources and follow protocols for hazardous contamination incidents
- Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and communication with families in well-appointed treatment rooms
- Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations as part of the emergency department team
