• End Date: August 10, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3 × 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00) per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 – $2,200

Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Virginia or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) accepted
• Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room (OR) / perioperative nursing experience
• BLS (AHA) current
• Strong clinical skills in surgical and perioperative care, including circulating and scrub roles
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interprofessional collaboration skills
• Preferred: CNOR or other perioperative certification (preferred but not required)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations as an OR RN (scrub and/or circulating as needed)
• Monitor patient status, anticipate needs, and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Prepare, maintain, and ensure postoperative turnover of the operating room environment
• Maintain accurate documentation, sterile technique, and compliance with hospital policies and AORN best practices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (anesthesia, surgical techs, PACU, nursing leadership) to optimize patient outcomes
