Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220 (competitive travel nursing pay)

• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights); includes weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent RN clinical experience (Telemetry / Step-down / Post-surgical cardiac experience preferred)
• Active RN license in New York State (NY licenses only accepted)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Proven telemetry monitoring experience and familiarity with cardiac rhythms
• Experience with medical equipment, tubes, lines, drains, and post-op care

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care for cardiac stepdown and post-surgical patients, including thoracic and cardiac surgery patients
• Continuously monitor and manage telemetry, cardiac rhythms, and patients requiring frequent observation, including pulmonary hypertension cases
• Safely manage and troubleshoot medical devices, tubes, lines, and drains
• Serve in charge nurse, preceptor, and committee roles as needed to support unit operations and quality improvement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, PT/OT, case management) to drive optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate service excellence and commitment to ongoing professional development in cardiac nursing
