Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 – $2,200

• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift: 12-hour days; rotating day/evening/night shifts; includes weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License — New York State only
• Minimum 2+ years recent medical/surgical RN experience (Med/Surg RN)
• Psychiatric nursing experience required (psychiatric RN, behavioral health experience)
• Telemetry experience required — telemetry RN skills for continuous cardiac monitoring
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with complex medical conditions and co-morbid psychiatric/behavioral needs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac monitoring data to maintain patient safety (telemetry RN duties)
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatric clinicians, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
• Deliver therapeutic and de-escalation interventions appropriate for behavioral health presentations while maintaining medical nursing standards
• Adapt to a dynamic clinical environment and manage a varied patient population with medical-surgical and psychiatric needs
• Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call and charge duties as required by unit staffing needs
