• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
• Location: Canton, GA 30115 (Canton, Georgia travel nursing job)
• Position: Neuro Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Neuro Unit / Stroke Care
• Setting: Acute Neuro Unit (neurosurgery / neurology / post-op care)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel contract)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week – night shift neuro RN
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel RN

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro nursing, acute care, or related clinical setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (stroke assessment experience preferred)
• Strong neuro assessment skills and ability to manage post-op neurosurgery and acute neurologic patients
• Compassionate care for both ambulatory and bedridden patients
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Canton, GA

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from neurosurgery, neurology conditions, ENT surgery, and general surgery
• Perform frequent neurologic assessments, monitor post-op recovery, and complete timely documentation
• Use NIHSS for stroke assessments and implement appropriate stroke and acute neuro protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, physical therapy, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide total care for bedridden patients and support ambulatory patients through recovery and discharge planning
• Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment and adhere to unit policies and infection control standards
