Job Details – Pediatric ER Travel Nurse (Tulsa, OK)

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 – $2,080
  • Location: Pediatric Emergency Center, Tulsa, OK 74136 (Tulsa County)
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend rotation
  • Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
  • Number of Openings: 2 Pediatric ER RN positions
  • On-Site Position – Pediatric Emergency Center (in-person clinical role)

Job Requirements – Emergency Room RN / Pediatric ER Nurse

  • ER experience strongly preferred; candidates with 0–6 months of related experience will be considered. Pediatric ER experience highly preferred.
  • Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred (documentation and charting experience a plus)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN) with completion of basic professional curriculum
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and experience in acute pediatric care / triage
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills for working with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to prioritize, organize work efficiently, and maintain attention to clinical and numerical detail

Key Responsibilities – Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients in the Emergency Center (triage, stabilization, ongoing care)
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized pediatric care plans within unit guidelines
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care that addresses psychosocial and developmental needs of children and families
  • Provide advanced pediatric nursing skills appropriate for the Emergency Department and demonstrate sound clinical judgment in acute situations
  • Anticipate patient and unit needs, delegate tasks when appropriate, and communicate clearly with nursing and physician teams
  • Document nursing processes and patient care accurately in the EMR using correct medical terminology (Epic preferred)
  • Facilitate patient and family education, discharge planning, and follow-up instructions for pediatric patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to coordinate care and support unit performance improvement and education initiatives
