Job Details

• Location: Latrobe, PA (15650) — Laurel Highlands, Westmoreland County
• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing / Travel RN
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts; 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 – $1,960

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Previous LTAC, subacute, or acute care experience highly desired

LTAC RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans tailored to long-term acute care patients
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees as assigned
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and coordinate patient rehabilitation programs
• Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education beginning at admission
• Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital policies, infection control practices, and safety procedures
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the care team to ensure continuity and safe transitions of care
• Contribute to a positive team environment and engage in unit team-building and quality improvement activities
• Identify opportunities for professional development and pursue continuing education relevant to LTAC and acute care nursing
