Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures (Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech experience required)
• Valid Ultrasound Technologist Certification or equivalency; ARDMS/RDCS or registry credentials preferred
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• No unexplained work history gaps over 30 days
• Two professional references dated within the last 12 months
• Skills checklist dated within the last 12 months
• Must attend EPIC EMR training during orientation (opportunity to test out); experience with EPIC preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Local travelers accepted (except those with a permanent address in Tallahassee)

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic/echo studies, stress echo, and vascular ultrasound exams in a hospital cardiovascular laboratory
• Operate ultrasound equipment and optimize images for accurate diagnostic interpretation
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient diagnostics
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control during all procedures
• Document findings clearly and communicate results effectively with physicians and healthcare staff
• Participate in EPIC EMR training and accurately enter data into electronic medical records
• Adhere to hospital protocols, quality assurance processes, and regulatory requirements
