Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 – $2,480 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a valid multistate/compact RN license
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN experience required (2 years preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience with triage, active labor, postpartum, antepartum, vaginal checks, fetal monitoring, and nursery care
• Experience charting in EPIC preferred; familiarity with Alaris pumps and Pyxis medication systems a plus
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Key Responsibilities – Labor & Delivery RN

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients in active labor, postpartum, antepartum, and GYN cases
• Perform triage assessments, vaginal checks, and continuous fetal heart monitoring (FHM)
• Support well-baby nursery care and encourage rooming-in to promote bonding and breastfeeding
• Assist in the OR during C-sections and provide newborn care and stabilization as needed
• Maintain established patient ratios: 1:1 labor/recovery, 1:3 couplets
• Collaborate with CNAs, team leads, hospitalists, obstetric providers, and multidisciplinary staff for comprehensive patient care
• Perform phlebotomy (RN) and other point-of-care tasks as required
• Accurate bedside monitoring and documentation using EPIC; operate Alaris infusion pumps and Pyxis medication systems
• Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend) and holiday coverage as required
