  • Location: Salem, OR 97301 (Salem, Oregon — Willamette Valley)
  • Role: Travel Occupational Therapist / Travel OT
  • Setting: Acute Rehab (Inpatient Hospital / Acute Care Occupational Therapy)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
  • Shift: Shifts are typically 3x12-hour days per week; actual shift times may vary (e.g., 08:00 – 17:30 for 9.5-hour shifts). Schedule may also include 4x9-hour shifts and 3–4 weekend dates per contract.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Occupational Therapy experience required (inpatient rehab preferred)
  • ICU experience strongly preferred (acute care, critical care experience valued)
  • Travel experience required (prior travel OT or travel therapy assignments)
  • Experience with Epic charting system required (electronic medical records, EMR)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Specialty-relevant certification required at time of submission
  • Ability to float to affiliate hospitals as needed (flexible, team-oriented therapist)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients in the Acute Rehab unit (inpatient rehab, post-acute care)
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments; develop and implement individualized treatment plans and perform re-evaluations
  • Care for a diverse patient population including neurological, orthopedic, and cardiopulmonary diagnoses
  • Utilize and assess adaptive equipment; perform adaptive equipment recommendations and training
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention to support discharge planning
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (nursing, PT, SLP, physicians, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
  • Document patient care and progress using the Epic charting system (EMR documentation for occupational therapists)
  • Participate in scheduled weekend coverage as required
