Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370
- Location: Midland, TX 79701 (Midland, Texas healthcare)

- Duration: 16 weeks (minimum 13 weeks considered)
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00) — ideal for 3x12 travel RN schedules
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Labor & Delivery (Unit 6194) — L&D / OB RN / Perinatal Nurse role
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Orientation: 36 hours
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D / OB RN / perinatal nurse)
- Previous charge experience required (charge RN experience preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse license (pending license accepted; must be active before start)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NIHSS
- AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate, FHM preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred (electronic health record / EHR experience helpful)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- RTO required with submission; expect to work some holidays
- Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted (travel nurse candidates only)
- On-site drug screen required prior to start
Labor & Delivery Responsibilities (L&D / OB RN / Perinatal)
- Rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition (no postpartum)
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and sterile speculum exams
- Provide breastfeeding and lactation support to mothers
- Administer blood products, antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and other medications as ordered
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using EFM and IUPC (electronic fetal monitoring)
- Perform APGAR scoring, pain assessment, and manage epidural anesthesia
- Care for neonates, infants, and adult patients in a fluctuating census environment
- Float to antepartum as required
- Maintain accurate documentation, patient identification procedures, and timely charting
