Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, Cardiac Telemetry, or similar acute care setting (telemetry nurse or cardiac RN experience)
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, patient education, and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities
• ACLS preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients recovering from cardiac events, post-op cardiac surgeries, or invasive cardiac procedures using cardiac telemetry and other monitoring systems
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, interpret telemetry/rhythm strips, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized cardiac care plans
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac health, recovery expectations, discharge planning, and follow-up care
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies, charting standards, and quality metrics
