• Unit: 7 Tower – 33 beds, staffed with charge nurses, RNs, techs, and secretaries

Job Requirements

• Active RN license: Tennessee or compact multistate nursing license (preferred)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN or Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Basic medical-surgical knowledge and familiarity with Meditech EMR / documentation systems
• Availability to work every other weekend; flexible scheduling with accommodations for requests
• Team-oriented attitude with ability to float as needed across units
• Dress code: Navy blue, black, royal blue, or any shade of gray scrubs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered medical-surgical nursing care in a 33-bed Med/Surg unit
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 5:1 to ensure personalized attention and safety
• Accurate and timely documentation using Meditech EMR / documentation tools
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, techs, and unit secretaries
• Perform routine Med/Surg procedures, assessments, and adhere to unit policies and best practices
• Enhance patient experience by completing white boards, patient education, and family communication
• Participate in floating rotation and support unit staffing needs as required
