• Unit: R4 Progressive Care (PCU / Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (Travel Nurse assignment)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 4 weeks (Start: 4/16/2026 – End: 5/14/2026)
• Employment Type: Travel
• Floating: Required to appropriate units as part of the Resource Float team
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and as needed for holidays
• Orientation: 1-2 days

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in telemetry or cardiac stepdown (PCU) settings — telemetry RN or progressive care nurse experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an RN
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
• Reliable transportation required (public transportation not accessible)
• Ability to float to other units as needed (Resource Float team)
• Professional appearance: navy blue or white scrubs, closed toe nonskid shoes, minimal jewelry, groomed hair (no beard), no artificial nails

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute inpatient progressive care for adult patients with cardiac and telemetry needs
• Monitor and manage patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, post-cardiac procedures, and advanced cardiac therapies
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, insulin drips, and other critical medications; follow MAK medication administration protocols
• Perform and document EKGs, start IVs, venipuncture, and provide post-cardiac cath care
• Utilize Epic for documentation and coordinate care using telemetry monitoring and progressive care nursing skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, anesthesia, and cardiology services
• Participate in patient transports and specialty testing as needed
• Float to other units as part of the Resource Float team when required
