Position Overview

Join a dynamic radiology team as a General MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) on a 13-week travel contract across two modern campuses in Olathe and Miami County, Kansas (zip code 66061). This travel MRI job offers hands-on work with Philips Achieva and Siemens 1.5T Sola systems, collaboration with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, and the chance to impact patient care across hospital, outpatient, and clinic settings in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380 – $2,550
• Location: Olathe & Miami County Campuses, Olathe, KS (Kansas City area)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 3, 2026 – August 2, 2026)
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts — Friday at Miami County; Saturday–Monday at Olathe (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Setting: Hospital, outpatient imaging center, and clinic
• Floating: Required between Olathe and Miami County campuses
• Weekend Requirements: Yes
• On-Call: None
• Orientation: Mon & Tues at KU Main Campus; Wed at Olathe Campus

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience (hospital experience preferred)
• At least 1 year of travel MRI experience required
• Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• Experience with Philips Achieva and Siemens 1.5T Sola MRI systems
• Proficient with Cerner, Unity PACS, and Inteview PACS
• Strong skills scanning patients with implanted devices; MRI safety and screening experience
• Must be nicotine-free (campus policy)
• New graduates not accepted
• Minimal or no time-off requests during June 11 – July 19 (World Cup period)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI exams for a diverse patient population across hospital, outpatient, and clinic settings
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot MRI equipment (Philips Achieva, Siemens 1.5T Sola)
• Screen patients for MRI safety, including implanted devices and contraindications
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal imaging and patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records in Cerner, Unity PACS, and Inteview PACS
• Float between Olathe and Miami County campuses as scheduled and participate in required orientation
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control, and campus policies
