Travel Postpartum RN (Registered Nurse) – 13-week OB Float Pool assignment in Boston, MA 02115. Active MA RN license and minimum 2 years OB/maternal-newborn experience required.

Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (estimated travel nurse pay)
  • Location: Boston, MA 02115 — Boston healthcare opportunity
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Shift: 12-hour shifts, any shift (including every other weekend/every other holiday)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (MA)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical OB experience (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery) — maternal-newborn / perinatal nursing experience preferred
  • Experience in antenatal and postpartum environments preferred
  • Ability to float between antenatal, postpartum, and newborn units as needed (OB Float Pool)
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate postpartum care to mothers and newborns as a postpartum RN and travel nurse
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for postpartum and newborn patients
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal maternal and newborn outcomes
  • Float to antenatal or postpartum units based on facility needs within the OB Float Pool
