Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350 - $2,470 (Competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (52402) — Cedar Rapids healthcare jobs, Iowa travel nursing
• Contract Duration: 10 weeks (May 4, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Shift: Days, 6:30 AM start; 8- or 10-hour shifts depending on staffing/cases
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: 1 night/week & 1 weekend/month
• Setting: Operating Rooms in a 141-bed acute care facility; perioperative nursing role with 1:1 ratio

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years current Operating Room RN or perioperative RN experience
• Proficient with robotic systems: DaVinci Xi, Mako, Rosa (robotic surgery RN experience)
• Experience in Orthopedics (including Total Joints), General Surgery, and Spine procedures
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Travel nursing experience within the previous 24 months
• Active Iowa RN license or multi-state/compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Completed perioperative skills checklist specific to Operating Room Nurse/RN
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director within the past 24 months preferred
• Scrub experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative patient care across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases as an OR RN
• Assist and support advanced robotic and orthopedic surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC EMR (electronic medical records)
• Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled
• Follow hospital policies and infection control standards to support patient safety
• Support, train, and mentor new or less-experienced perioperative staff when needed
