Job Details
- Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84124 (Salt Lake City nursing jobs, Utah travel nursing)
- Assignment Length: 8 weeks (May 18, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
- Setting: 24-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Employment Type: Travel Contract - ICU RN, Critical Care Nurse
- Dress Code: Caribbean Blue Scrubs
- Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
Job Requirements
- Active RN license, current and unrestricted
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required; 2 years preferred - strong critical care RN background
- Experience with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, arterial lines, and other ICU skills including CRRT and IABP preferred
- Comfortable with rapid response, high-acuity care, and procedural support
- Strong team player with an outgoing personality and ability to float to PCU or serve as a sitter in other inpatient units as needed
- Experience documenting in EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a 24-bed ICU as a Travel ICU Nurse
- Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies including IABP, CRRT, and open heart recovery
- Perform and assist with procedures such as rapid sequence intubation, central line placement, bronchoscopy, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
- Manage ventilator settings and titrate vasopressors and inotropes per protocols and provider orders
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized critical care plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely using the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Float to PCU or serve as a sitter in other inpatient units as needed
