Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,010 - $1,090
• Location: Lawton, OK 73505 (Lawton, Oklahoma)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour days (6:30am – 3:00pm), Monday–Friday, with call
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as an Operating Room (OR) Tech, Surgical Technologist, or Scrub Technologist in a hospital perioperative setting
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred; other relevant certifications accepted
• Current competencies and perioperative certifications maintained (sterile technique, infection control)
• Completion of departmental orientation and annual inservice education for age-specific training
• Strong knowledge of sterile field setup, instrument identification, sponge/needle/instrument counts, and surgical instrumentation

Key Responsibilities

• Assist as a member of the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse and perioperative leadership
• Set up and maintain sterile fields; prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for a variety of surgical procedures
• Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts and document counts per policy
• Ensure correct site procedures, fire safety checks, and readiness of equipment and supplies before cases
• Provide and maintain a sterile atmosphere throughout surgical procedures; safely pass instruments and sharps to surgeons
• Deliver age-specific patient care and interaction for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as required
• Clean and turnover operating rooms according to established infection control procedures
• Contribute to an environment that optimizes patient safety, reduces medical errors, and follows Joint Commission and hospital perioperative standards
