Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 – $2,500
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104 — University City, near Drexel/UPenn (Philadelphia nursing jobs, PA nursing jobs)
• Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center with 6 ORs and 4 PACU bays (currently staffed for 4 ORs)
• Openings: 4 PACU RN positions available
• Shifts: 4x10 hour (7:00am–5:30pm or 7:30am–6:00pm), no call or weekends. Option for 3x10 (Tue/Wed/Thu)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 15, 2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent PACU RN experience required (2+ years perioperative/PACU preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• ACLS certification required (BLS preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for collaboration with surgical and anesthesia teams

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to surgical and ambulatory patients in a fast-paced PACU environment
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vitals, pain control, and recovery progress following anesthesia
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and manage post-op protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure safe patient transitions
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and follow-up
