ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN) – Night Shift, Critical Care Float Pool | Trenton, NJ (08638) — 8-week contract. Join our critical care team serving RMC and Hopewell campuses. This night-shift ICU RN opportunity is ideal for experienced critical care nurses seeking float-pool and specialty exposure across Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Pathology, Sub-Acute, Pediatric PACU, and Pediatric OR.

ICU RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 (12-hour night shifts; 3 shifts/week)
• Shift: Night Shift — ICU / Critical Care
• Location: Float between RMC and Hopewell Campuses in Trenton, NJ; may float to MST as needed (Zip 08638)
• Start Date: May 5, 2026
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• EMR: Cerner (Cerner EMR experience preferred)
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no declination accepted)

Qualifications and Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of current ICU and MST experience — proven critical care nursing background
• Active NJ or Compact RN License required at time of submission (ICU RN / Registered Nurse)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification required
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred — familiarity with electronic charting for ICU patients

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple ICU and specialty units
• Function as a Critical Care Nurse and Float Pool RN, rotating between RMC, Hopewell, and MST campuses as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
• Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications and vaccination policies
