- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,450 – $1,560
- Location: Clinton, Maryland (20735) — Washington, D.C. area
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist, On-Site
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adults, Geriatrics
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) in adult critical care, ED, and transport settings
- Valid Maryland RT license required at time of submission
- RRT or CRT credential required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Community hospital experience required; prior transport experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Two supervisor references required
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, emergency department (ED), and transport units
- Perform airway management and ventilator management, including BiPAP, CPAP, intubation assist, extubation, and mechanical ventilation weaning
- Set up aerosol delivery (mask/trach), manage tracheostomy care, and perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation
- Assess and manage respiratory distress syndrome, pneumonia, and other acute pulmonary conditions
- Assist with intra-hospital patient transports and emergency response as needed
- Document patient care and interventions using the Cerner electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and respiratory services to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in orientation and complete required facility modules
