Emergency Department Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
- Location: Weston, FL 33331 (South Florida travel nursing job)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- Shift: Night shifts, 4x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30); flexible scheduling with 3x12s or 4x12s available
- Hours per Week: 36 hours (guaranteed for 3x12s)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site (Emergency Department / ER)
ER Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 18 months of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience required; 2 years preferred — experience with high-acuity and trauma is a plus
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or American Red Cross) certifications required at time of submission
- NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
- Epic charting / Epic EMR experience required
- Nicotine-free (negative drug screen required)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to complete time-sensitive onboarding modules prior to start
- Two references from direct supervisors/managers required
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities (ER RN)
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and management of acute, critical, and trauma conditions
- Manage arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, central lines, and IV vasopressors
- Respond to code situations and monitor/ manage dysrhythmias and hemodynamic instability
- Apply isolation precautions and appropriate PPE for infection control
- Float within scope to meet facility needs and support ED operations as required
- Complete EKG and pharm competency tests during orientation (study materials provided)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR to support clinical care and regulatory compliance
