- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 26, 2026)
- Shift: Evening shifts, 3:00pm – 11:30pm
- Hours: 32 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
- Setting: Hospital Respiratory Therapy Unit — travel respiratory therapist / travel RRT role
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a hospital setting
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT not accepted)
- Valid Ohio RCP license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and hospital network applications
- Physical requirements: sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently; lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Preferred Clinical Skills (helpful for hospital RRT candidates)
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
- Arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation
- Airway management, intubation support, and oxygen therapy
- Familiarity with pulmonary diagnostics and aerosolized medication delivery
Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory therapy services as prescribed by provider orders, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies
- Monitor patient responses, assess clinical status, and adjust treatments as necessary
- Perform ABG collection and document results when indicated
- Document patient care and therapy accurately in Epic and departmental records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards; exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and chemicals may occur
