• Shift: Evening shifts, 3:00pm – 11:30pm
• Hours: 32 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Setting: Hospital Respiratory Therapy Unit — travel respiratory therapist / travel RRT role

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a hospital setting
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT not accepted)
• Valid Ohio RCP license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and hospital network applications
• Physical requirements: sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently; lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Preferred Clinical Skills (helpful for hospital RRT candidates)

• Experience with mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation
• Airway management, intubation support, and oxygen therapy
• Familiarity with pulmonary diagnostics and aerosolized medication delivery

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy services as prescribed by provider orders, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies
• Monitor patient responses, assess clinical status, and adjust treatments as necessary
• Perform ABG collection and document results when indicated
• Document patient care and therapy accurately in Epic and departmental records
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards; exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and chemicals may occur
