  • Shifts: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week, with on-call rotation
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 – $2,140 (competitive pay for travel respiratory therapist)
  • Traveler Housing: Newly remodeled, fully furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments available half a block from the hospital (subject to availability)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT not accepted)
  • Minimum 5 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required; prior travel assignment experience required (no first-time travelers)
  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Valid Colorado RRT license (DORA) in good standing
  • Current American Heart Association certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AAP)
  • Experience across all age groups and acuity levels, including Neonatal and Pediatric patients (Level 2 NICU)
  • Strong critical care and advanced ventilator management skills (mechanical ventilation, ventilator weaning, ABG interpretation)
  • Must live at least 75 miles from the facility (radius rule applies)
  • Submission of current resume, skill sheet, and all certifications required for credentialing

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary patients of all ages and acuity levels
  • Deliver high-quality care in a hospital setting, including support in the Level 2 NICU
  • Manage ventilators, perform advanced critical care respiratory interventions, and troubleshoot complex airway and breathing scenarios
  • Respond to emergency situations and participate in the on-call rotation as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, and allied health) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
