Job Details

• Location: Florence, AL 35630 — Florence, Alabama (Tennessee River area). Great opportunity for Alabama nursing jobs and Florence healthcare jobs.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 26, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am) — night shift L&D RN travel assignment
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 (estimated weekly pay for travel nurse)
• Setting: Labor & Delivery, 9-bed unit (1:1 nurse-to-patient care)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D nurse, OB nurse)
• Active RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, EFM
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring, maternal/fetal assessment, obstetric emergency response, and postpartum care
• Ability to float to Postpartum as needed
• Strong time management, adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Uniform requirement: ceil blue scrubs required; non-compliant attire is not permitted

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery and postpartum care in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient environment
• Monitor fetal well-being and perform timely assessments using EFM and clinical judgment
• Respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., postpartum hemorrhage, cord prolapse, fetal distress) and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Manage patients with diagnoses including normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, and other OB complications
• Document care accurately in Centricity and Meditech electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Float to Postpartum unit as required and support unit workflow and patient throughput
