Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,980 (competitive travel OT pay)
- Location: Walla Walla, WA (Zip: 99362) — Washington occupational therapy jobs
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center (acute care occupational therapist)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/18/2026 – 8/17/2026)
- Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (07:00 – 15:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend Rotation: Every 4 weeks with compensatory days off
- Parking: Free onsite parking
- Charting / EMR: Epic EMR (experience with Epic preferred)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience as an Occupational Therapist (acute care OT experience required)
- Valid Washington (WA) Occupational Therapy license in hand
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Ability to float between Acute, Medical, ICU, and Inpatient Rehab units (ICU and inpatient rehab experience a plus)
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last three years
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Team-oriented, friendly, and outgoing personality to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients across diagnoses including multi-trauma, SCI, CVA, surgical, orthopedic, Parkinson's, MS, and other neurologic and medical conditions
- Provide occupational therapy services in all hospital areas: Acute, Medical, ICU, and Inpatient Rehab Facility
- Perform thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver functional activities focused on ADLs, mobility, and discharge readiness
- Utilize specialized skills such as edema management, functional splinting, kinesiotaping, orthoplast fabrication, and static splints
- Maintain productivity and clinical documentation standards using Epic EMR and other hospital systems
- Adapt interventions based on patient acuity and collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, physicians, and case management to optimize outcomes
- Participate in weekend rotation and float as needed to support patient care and unit needs
