Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Mansfield, TX. 13-week night-shift travel nurse contract in a Level 3 Maternal Designation unit serving the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area.

Join a dynamic Labor & Delivery (L&D) team in Mansfield (zip 76063), just south of Dallas. This role offers hands-on experience in a high-acuity Level 3 Maternal unit with a 16-bed NICU, advanced fetal monitoring systems, EPIC charting, and strong interdisciplinary support. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
• Location: Mansfield, TX 76063 (Dallas–Fort Worth / DFW area)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: May 4, 2026 – End: August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Labor & Delivery – Level 3 Maternal Designation, 13 LDR rooms, 16-bed NICU
• Orientation: 24 hours (EPIC training included)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (5+ years preferred)
• Travel nursing experience required (previous travel nurse assignments preferred)
• Current RN license: Texas or compact state (must be active and in good standing)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP; AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced (AHA preferred)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Comfortable with typical L&D patient ratios (1:1–1:2)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum care for mothers and neonates in a Level 3 Maternal unit
• Assist with routine and emergent vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk obstetrics and multiple gestations
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using external and internal fetal monitoring systems
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage IVs and central lines
• Perform and assist with specialized procedures (amniocentesis, cervical cerclage, D&C, tubal ligation, etc.)
• Provide neonatal stabilization and collaborate closely with the NICU team for transitional and critical care
• Support breastfeeding, lactation education, postpartum recovery, and family-centered patient education
• Float, on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage may be required (typically ~6 weekend shifts per 6-week period)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and obstetrics providers
