Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut — must be eligible to work in Hartford, CT
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN or Cardiac Telemetry experience
• Experience administering and titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem / Diltiazem)
• Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required
• Compliance with standard onboarding requirements: immunizations, background check, competency testing, and professional verifications

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cardiac patient monitoring and assessment in a telemetry/surgical cardiology setting
• Administer, titrate, and monitor cardiac drips and vasoactive medications safely
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond rapidly to telemetry changes and emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, surgeons, and advanced practice providers
• Accurately document patient status, interventions, and telemetry findings in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, post-op care, and recovery plans
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient safety and cardiac care outcomes
