Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) — 13-week travel contract in Richland, WA; RDCS/RCS required, BLS and Epic experience preferred. Join our hospital-based echocardiography team in the Pacific Northwest.
Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 – $2,100
- Position: Travel Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech (Travel Sonographer)
- Location: Richland, Washington (Tri-Cities) — Zip: 99352
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 – 17:30); schedule may vary slightly
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend Coverage: Rotating weekends required
- On-Call: After 5:30pm until 7:00am (schedule TBD)
- Orientation: 40 hours
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer (adult and pediatric echocardiography)
- CCI RCS or RDCS credential required (either specialty accepted)
- Valid Allied health license (Washington state or Compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic charting)
- Proficiency in transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), 2-D, 3-D and M-Mode imaging
- Experience with color Doppler, bubble studies, treadmill and pharmacologic stress echo
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality echocardiography exams (TTE, TEE, stress echo) for adult and pediatric patients
- Obtain 2-D, 3-D and M-Mode images and Doppler assessments; conduct bubble studies and stress protocols as ordered
- Provide imaging services across inpatient, outpatient, ICU, ED and pediatric settings
- Document exam findings accurately and promptly using Epic charting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Radiology, IV team, Rapid Response and Pharmacy to support patient care
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities as scheduled
- Follow isolation precautions, infection control practices, and proper PPE protocols
