Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,130 – $1,210
• Location: Boston, Massachusetts (02115) — travel healthcare job
• Setting: Hospital – Central Sterile Processing (CSP / SPD)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 24, 2026 – August 22, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour nights (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM), Monday–Friday with rotating weekends
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Sterile Processing Technician / SPD Technician

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) — Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent sterile processing experience in a hospital or surgical setting
• Working knowledge of case cart assembly, tray set-up, and materials management
• Familiarity with sterilization equipment (steam, EO) and biological/chemical indicators
• Ability to perform tests and inspections to evaluate quality and instrument performance

Key Responsibilities

• Perform instrument decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and sterilization following hospital policies and infection control standards
• Process specialty and general surgical instruments; reset and verify instrument sets and case carts for OR/Procedure areas
• Operate and monitor sterilizers and process documentation; perform biological and chemical indicator testing
• Maintain Central Sterile stock levels, manage inventory, and document supplies for materials management
• Prepare and assemble surgical trays and equipment according to tray listings and departmental protocols
• Identify and report damaged instruments; coordinate instrument repair or replacement with the supervisor
• Support surgical services and clinical teams by ensuring timely and accurate instrument availability
