Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 17, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,550 – $2,680
• Role / Setting: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology
• Location: Waterloo, Iowa (ZIP 50702) — travel nursing job in Waterloo, IA
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Rotation: Every third weekend
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Cath Lab RN)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (Iowa license or RN compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN / Cardiac nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to participate in call rotation (every third weekend)
• Completion of onboarding requirements: health screenings, competency testing, background check, and facility-specific training

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care before, during, and after diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab
• Assist physicians and cardiac technologists with catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placements, and other interventional cardiology procedures
• Monitor patient status, manage hemodynamics, and respond to peri-procedural changes
• Maintain accurate documentation, electronic health records, and procedure logs; follow safety and infection-control protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to cardiac emergencies as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal cardiac patient outcomes
