Job Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital/acute care setting
- Willingness to work overnight shifts and to support both respiratory therapy and sleep lab services
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-focused skills
- One professional reference from recent work history
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Experience with mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation (NIV), and ABG sampling
- Previous travel respiratory therapist experience or float pool experience
- Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS) are a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult patients in a hospital/acute care setting
- Perform patient assessments, respiratory treatments, monitoring, and documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and ventilators as appropriate
- Accurately document patient care activities in the medical record in a timely manner
- Support the sleep lab with overnight monitoring, interventions, and patient care as needed
