Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Missoula, MT. Join our travel nursing team for a 13-week L&D job supporting a Level 3 NICU at a Joint Commission Accredited teaching hospital.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Missoula, MT 59804 — Montana nursing jobs in the Rocky Mountains; enjoy outdoor recreation, a vibrant arts scene, and a welcoming community.
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Employment Type: Travel nurse (on-site)
- Setting: Level 3 NICU, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum — Joint Commission Accredited teaching hospital
Required Qualifications (L&D Nurse / Registered Nurse)
- Active RN license (state-appropriate) — Registered Nurse required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery and Postpartum clinical experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to float within a 25-mile radius as needed
Key Responsibilities — Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Maternal-Newborn Care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, delivery support, and postpartum patients as an L&D nurse and postpartum nurse
- Monitor and assess mothers and newborns, including care coordination with Level 3 NICU clinicians
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (OB/GYN, neonatology, anesthesia) in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Support unit needs and float to other units within a 25-mile radius when required
