- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00-07:00) — Night Shift CVICU
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
- Parking: Available on site
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year of recent CVICU or specialty critical care experience)
- Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred for Cardiac ICU RN roles
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, NIHSS or Red Cross equivalent
- PALS preferred if floating to pediatric units
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed (flexible travel RN)
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult cardiac patients in the CVICU (post-op cardiac surgery, advanced cardiac monitoring)
- Monitor, assess, and respond to complex cardiac conditions and emergencies, including titration of vasoactive drips and ventilator management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams (cardiologists, surgeons, respiratory therapy) to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units and hospitals as required, demonstrating adaptability as a travel nurse
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards
- Provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for patients and families
