Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Tucson, AZ. Night shift ER RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing contract at a Level III Trauma Center; must have active RN license, 2+ years emergency department experience, Cerner EMR, and current BLS/ACLS.
Job Details – Travel Nurse / ER RN

- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / ER RN)
- Start Date: May 4, 2026
- End Date: August 3, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts; 3 shifts per week) – night shift ER nurse role
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Facility: 38-bed Emergency Department, Level III Trauma, Stroke & STEMI Receiving Center — experience as a trauma nurse or ER RN preferred
- EMR: Cerner (experience required)
- Dress Code: Black scrubs
Job Requirements – Emergency Department RN Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure required for travel nurse)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room / Emergency Department RN experience required
- Experience with Cerner EMR required
- Willingness to float as needed across ED areas
- Charge nurse experience preferred (additional compensation available)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, clinical judgment, and leadership skills — ideal for ER nursing and trauma care
Responsibilities – Emergency Room Nurse (RN)
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care using the Nursing Process
- Provide rapid assessment, triage, and emergency interventions for patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Demonstrate critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced ED / trauma environment
- Maintain and expand clinical competencies through ongoing education and training
- Delegate, prioritize, and coordinate patient care based on staff experience and education
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel, serving as a resource for clinical staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care (stroke and STEMI protocols included)
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and the state Nurse Practice Act
