Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel, Part-Time (Travel RN, experienced travel nurses only)
• Unit: ICU (601-07)
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Platform/Charting: Epic preferred; medication scanning

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent, consecutive ICU experience in a hospital/acute care setting — critical care experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (no pending licenses)
• BLS and ACLS certifications current
• Travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers) — prior travel RN assignments preferred
• Ability and willingness to float to ICU units at Bucyrus & Galion campuses if census drops
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical or religious exemptions only)
• Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 1 hour if placed on-call; weekend coverage required (every other weekend)
• Two recent supervisory references required

ICU Responsibilities & Clinical Skills

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing in the ICU with a typical staffing ratio of 3:1
• Manage dysrhythmias, arterial and central line care, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Care for ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, suctioning (ETT, NT), and advanced airway support
• Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE use for infection control
• Utilize Epic charting (preferred) and medication scanning for safe documentation and medication administration
• Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds and maintain compliance with facility policies
• Complete up to 8 hours of required pre-start modules via HealthStream
• Adhere to scheduling and time-off policies: submit time-off requests (no more than 7 days; no major holidays) and arrange coverage for missed shifts
