Neuro Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse Contract in Cumming, GA (30041). 13-week night travel RN opportunity in an Acute Neuro Unit for experienced neuro/neuroscience RNs with required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke). Work nights in a state-of-the-art facility while enjoying northern Georgia and nearby Lake Lanier.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540 (competitive travel RN pay)
• Location: Cumming, GA 30041 — Georgia nursing jobs, local community near Lake Lanier
• Setting: Acute Neuro Unit (Neuro ICU / Neuroscience unit)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), 3 shifts per week — travel nurse (night shift) schedule
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-site neuro nursing role
• Note: No local candidates within 50 miles

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute neuro nursing experience (Neuro RN, Neuroscience RN, Neuro ICU experience preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification
• Strong clinical skills in neurological assessment, telemetry monitoring, and stroke care protocols
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to variable schedules typical of travel nurse assignments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient-centered care in acute neuro settings

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Acute Neuro Unit, including stroke, neurotrauma, and other neurological conditions
• Perform frequent neurological assessments and monitor changes in status using NIH Stroke Scale and unit protocols
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring safe medication management for neuro patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (neurosurgery, neurology, therapists, pharmacy) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, discharge planning, and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to unit policies, and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality care
