Acute Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Unit in Tuba City, AZ | Pediatric RN with 1+ year acute care experience and current BLS/ACLS/PALS. Join our travel nursing team serving Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities on the scenic Colorado Plateau and make a meaningful impact in pediatric patient care.
Job Details
- Location: Tuba City, AZ 86045 – Travel nursing job in Arizona; serve the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities on the Colorado Plateau.
- Assignment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
- Unit: Pediatric (Acute Care) – Pediatric RN / Acute Care RN role
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- End Date: August 17, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (06:00 – 18:30), 7 shifts per pay period
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Orientation: Every 2 weeks
- Housing: Shared units available (limited, no family or pets, $600/month)
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico
- Minimum 1 year of acute care pediatric nursing experience required (Pediatric RN / Acute Care RN)
- Current certifications required (must be maintained throughout assignment):
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association
- Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire
- COVID & Flu exemptions may be accepted with declination form
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting (Pediatric RN duties)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and accurately document patient progress in the medical record (EMR documentation)
- Provide patient and family education and emotional support throughout the care process
- Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and physician orders; maintain clinical compliance
- Participate in ongoing training, orientation, and competency evaluations as required
