• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
• Location: Mount Clemens, MI 48043 (Travel Nurse assignment)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (requirements for practice in Michigan apply)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience (one year of ICU experience preferred)
• Experience in LTAC, rehabilitation, or critical care nursing is a plus
• Ability to supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Strong clinical assessment, delegation, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission as part of LTAC nursing care
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching starting at admission
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and patient safety
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary nursing personnel (LPNs, CNAs)
• Promote patient and employee safety, adhering to hospital guidelines and safety policies
• Contribute positively to unit team building and maintain effective communication with management
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested
• Engage in professional development and continuing education relevant to LTAC and critical care nursing
