Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,300 - $2,420
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
• Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), every other weekend, one summer holiday/holiday eve required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit; float between Legacy Health facilities in Oregon (Legacy Health float pool)

Travel RN Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license (or proof of application/fingerprints at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN experience — maternity nursing, perinatal or delivery nurse experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
• AWOHNN or Relias Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• EPIC charting experience required (EPIC documentation, electronic medical records)
• Must be willing to float between various Legacy Health facilities as needed
• Locals not accepted (must live more than 50 miles from any Legacy facility)
• References: 1 Charge, Supervisor, or Manager reference required (preferably within last year)
• No felony background hits

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery setting
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, and assist with deliveries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (obstetrics, neonatology, anesthesia) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float between Legacy Health facilities as part of the resource pool—adaptable travel nurse expected
• Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC charting system
• Participate in mandatory education and orientation modules and maintain required certifications
• Adhere to patient ratios (1:1 – 1:2) and comply with facility policies and clinical guidelines
